Our cows & calves

Our Simmental cows are white and brown spotted and real personalities. That is why every animal has had a name that suits it since birth.

At the moment Molly, Susi and Sivi live at Paußhof. The birth of a calf is always a particularly lovely experience and we are very happy about it. For the first twelve weeks they get the valuable hay milk of their mother, so that they grow up healthy and big. And lots of cuddles … a particularly wonderful experience, especially for children.

Cats, rabbits, goats, hens & ducks

Of course, a proper organic farm needs cats, both for cuddling and for catching mice. Our tomcat Asterix and our cat Elli usually doze in a quiet spot during the day, but they love plenty of strokes. The bunnies, above all Erika and Heidi, enjoy their summer in the small animal zoo at Paußhof. In winter they move into the small animal barn built especially for them on the farm in 2016. Nora and Ivi, our two Tauernschecken goats, are true gourmets – the fragrant herbs from the herb garden are their favourite food. Our hens provide the delicious breakfast eggs, which are collected from the nests every evening.

But quails also have their home at Paußhof. They give us unique eggs, each of which is a little miracle. The job of our Indian runner ducks is a very important one: they keep our garden free of slugs – after all, we want to enjoy the fresh, crunchy lettuce ourselves. Turkeys also spend their summer with us.
