Privacy Policy
The protection of your personal data is important to us. We therefore process your data exclusively on the basis of the statutory provisions (General Data Protection Regulation, Data Protection Act, Telecommunications Act). In this privacy policy we inform you about the most important aspects of data processing in connection with our website.
1. Controller
Paußhof, owner: Paßrugger family
Dorf 3, 5603 Kleinarl, Austria
Telephone: +43 6418 226
Email: pausshof@sbg.at
2. Server log files
When you visit our website, data is automatically transmitted to the server for technical reasons and briefly stored in log files, for example IP address, date and time of access, page accessed, browser type and operating system. The processing serves the secure and error-free operation of the website and is based on our legitimate interest (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR). The data is deleted after a short time unless it is needed to investigate misuse.
3. Enquiry form and contacting us
If you contact us via the enquiry form, by email or by telephone, we process the data you provide (name, email address, desired accommodation, number of people, arrival, departure and your message) exclusively to process your enquiry and in case of follow-up questions. The data is stored in the database of our website and sent to us by email. The legal basis is the performance of pre-contractual measures (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR) and your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR). We delete your data as soon as it is no longer required for its purpose and no statutory retention obligations apply. We do not pass on your data without your consent. After submission, you will receive an automatic confirmation at the email address you provided.
4. Google Maps
To show how to find us, we embed a map from Google Maps (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). The map is only loaded when you click on “Load map”. In doing so, data, in particular your IP address, is transmitted to Google. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR), which you give by clicking. Without a click, no transmission takes place. Further information can be found in Google’s privacy policy.
5. Cloudflare (delivery and protection of the website)
Our website is delivered and secured via Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA). When pages are accessed, technical data such as your IP address and information about your browser and device are routed via Cloudflare’s servers and briefly processed there. The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR (legitimate interest in a fast, secure and trouble-free provision of the website). Data is transferred to the USA on the basis of the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.
6. Security check in the enquiry form (Cloudflare Turnstile)
To protect against spam and automated requests, we use the Cloudflare Turnstile service in the enquiry form (Cloudflare, Inc., see item 5). As soon as the form becomes visible on the page, we load a script from Cloudflare. In doing so, and when the form is submitted, technical data (including IP address, browser and device information) is transmitted to Cloudflare and analysed in order to distinguish humans from automated programs. The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR (legitimate interest in protection against misuse and spam).
7. Links to other websites
Our website contains links to other websites, for example to Instagram and to partners in the region. The respective operators are solely responsible for their data processing.
8. Storage in the browser
If you switch between the light and dark mode of our website, your browser stores this selection locally on your device. This information is not transmitted to us. In addition, the website sets the identifier for audience measurement described in section 9.
9. Audience measurement (AnalyticsWP)
For audience measurement, we use the WordPress plugin AnalyticsWP. The analysis is carried out on our own server in the database of this website; the data is not transmitted to an external analytics service. For each page view, the requested address, the time, the referring page (referrer), the device type, the browser identifier (user agent), the IP address (because the website is delivered via Cloudflare, usually a Cloudflare address) and, where applicable, UTM parameters are stored. The submission of the enquiry form is counted as an event, without the content of your message. To recognise your visit, the plugin sets a random identifier (unique_session_id) as a cookie and in the local storage (localStorage) of your browser; it remains stored for 365 days. Automatic deletion of the collected data is currently not set up; upon request, we will delete the data stored about you, insofar as it can be attributed to you.
10. Your rights
You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. You can withdraw any consent you have given at any time with effect for the future. To do so, please contact pausshof@sbg.at. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority: Austrian Data Protection Authority, Barichgasse 40-42, 1030 Vienna, www.dsb.gv.at.
11. Changes
We will adapt this privacy policy if our website or the legal requirements change. Last updated: October 2026.
