Frequently Asked Questions
What can I do in summer?
All year round there are countless opportunities for real adventures: hiking, bike tours, tennis, high ropes course and flying fox in Kleinarl, golf in Radstadt, mini golf in Flachau, as well as swimming pools and bathing lakes in the neighbouring villages.
Where can you go hiking?
Rewarding destinations are the Tappenkarsee – the deepest mountain lake in the Eastern Alps –, the Kleinarlerhütte, the Kurzeggalm, the Steinkaralm and the Blauer See.
Is there an e-bike rental?
Yes, there is an e-bike rental right in Kleinarl. A bike tour to the Jägersee with a boat trip is especially popular.
What can I do in bad weather?
Whatever the weather, there are wonderful excursion destinations, for example Hohenwerfen Castle with its birds of prey show, the Eisriesenwelt ice caves in Werfen, the Felsentherme and Alpentherme Gastein, the Therme Amadé Altenmarkt, the Wasserwelt Wagrain or the Haus der Natur in Salzburg.
Which excursion destinations are suitable for families?
Families might enjoy the high ropes course and the flying fox in Kleinarl, Salzburg Zoo, Hellbrunn with its palace and trick fountains, the Krimml Waterfalls, the Kaprun high mountain reservoir and gold panning in Rauris, among others.
How do I get to the skiing in winter?
The ski slope is right outside the front door. There is direct access to the Kleinarl-Flachau/Winkel-Zauchensee ski area, and the ski school’s practice area is next to our garden. With the free ski bus, which stops right in front of Paußhof, you can also reach Wagrain within a few minutes.
Where is the bus stop and where do I get the ski pass?
The bus stop is about 50 m from the house. We recommend buying the ski pass online in advance with the early booking bonus.
What is there to do in winter away from the slopes?
Ski touring right from Paußhof, for example to the Kleinarlerhütte, cross-country skiing with trail access right next to the farm, ice stock sport, tobogganing with a toboggan run and toboggan taxi, and horse-drawn sleigh rides to the Jägersee.
How big is the ski area?
As part of Ski amadé, a single pass gives you access to 760 kilometres of slopes. For more advanced skiers, Zauchensee offers first-class slopes.
